Thank goodness! I say this for a couple of reasons...
A) I work for a ski resort company. No snow means no guests. Which really doesn't do anything impressive for the ever important bottom line. Last year, the particular resort I work for opened a week early, and the following weekend opened all three mountains - incredible! This year, we opened a week early and then the snow stopped coming - I think we had three trails open, and not even to the base, you had to ride back up and then download on the gondola.

B) The snow is actually landing in the locations I generally hope it falls. On the west side of I-70, up to, but not including Loveland Pass. J and I joke about that one often. If Loveland Pass closes, then the tunnel backs up every hour when they "close" it to let the hazzardous trucks through. Mostly I hope for that, to allow a cushion, because had we gotten 18-30 inches of snow in the past two days, well, this would be a very different post. (Pretty sure I wrote one last year, just a few weeks later).
So it's totally dumping up in the mountains still tonight. Predicted to continue into Sunday - just in time for me to make a trek up for a class on Monday. Luckily, with the weather, I'll be staying over on Sunday night...and hoping to get a few runs on the board before I check in. But only if I get everything packed up tomorrow for the big move next week.
